Mackerel

The mackerel is caught in the Atlantic ocean, Mediterranean sea and the North sea. There are many different types of mackerel. For example you can think about the bonito and the tuna. Most of these species are fast and powerful a have a very streamlined body.The fins are almost entirely in the skin when swimming fast.


To fillet (single and dubble)


Single filleting.
  1. Cut the fillet at once.
  2. Attention: keep the belly intact, cuts a little slanting.

English manner (double)
  1. Make a cut behind the head.
  2. Cuts into the belly side with the flat side of your knife, Put your knife down on the bones and cut to the tail.
  3. Do the other side exactly the same.
  4. Cut the bone off beside the tail.
