Oyster

The oyster is caught in the Mediterranean sea until the Norwegian sea. There are a lot of oyster types. Most of the oysters are named to the area where they are grown or the manner of growing. The most oysters come from Portugal, France, Great Britain (UK) and the Netherlands.

Opening the oyster

For this cumbersome job you best use a towel and a special oyster-knife.

  1. Put the oyster between your hand and the table. YOU MUST PUT SOMETIMES HARDLY, SO LOOK OUT FOR YOUR HANDS!!!
  2. By the beginning put on your knife.
  3. You are twists knife for a quart. The oyster breaks open now.
  4. Cut through the sphincter. Do this to the flat side of the oyster.
